Los Angeles Community College District Turns Into 24x7 Help Desk by Selecting BlackBeltHelp for After-Hours Support

Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) launched BlackBeltHelp's after-hours help desk to provide support when on-campus staff is out for the night, weekend and holidays.

Cleveland, Ohio, June 2017: BlackBeltHelp, a higher education focused provider of help desk products & services, announced its partnership with Los Angeles Community College Disctrict. With the new partnership, LACCD will provide after-hours support to students, faculty and, staff to enhance help desk experience and availability.

Higher Education is a fast- paced world and students expect a prompt response to all their queries. Keeping this in mind LACCD have decided to provide a dedicated technical support to all their students, faculty and staff beyond 9 AM to 5 PM, so that they don’t feel abandoned when the daytime help desk is closed.

Support and advice will be accessible for the same inquiries answered by the LACCD daytime staff, including:

» Network Connectivity

» Productivity applications

» Antivirus / Security utilities

» Basic Operating System Support

» Email

» Password Reset

» Browsers

"We are pleased to provide LACCD with unified and scalable after-hours help desk solution," said Ron Bhalla, CEO - BlackBeltHelp. “With BlackBeltHelp's after-hours help desk support, LACCD will have extended resources on hand to provide support for their IT and LMS, around-the-clock and will certainly help in improving customer satisfaction."

Over the past seventy-seven years we've served as educator to more than three million students. Affordable, accessible and practical, the LACCD offers opportunity to all. Our doors are wide open for a diverse student population eager for skills, knowledge and upward mobility. LACCD educates almost three times as many Latino students and nearly four times as many African-American students as all the University of California campuses combined. Eighty percent of LACCD students are from underserved populations.

Community colleges serve adults of all ages, meeting the needs of a society where "lifelong learning" is the rule and multiple careers and continual retraining are the norm. More than half of all LACCD students are older than 25 years of age, and more than a quarter are 35 or older. More than any other California system of higher education, community colleges offer a first - and a second - chance for anyone who wants to succeed.
